What we collect

We collect personal information only when you give it to us directly, through one of the forms on this site:

• The School Nomination form — school details plus a named contact person's name, role, mobile number, and (optionally) email.
• The CSR Partner, Volunteer, and general Contact forms — your name, organisation (where relevant), email, mobile number, city, and the message you send us.
• The "Notify me when donations open" field — your email address only.

We also collect basic, non-identifying analytics data (pages visited, general location at a city/region level, device type) through Google Analytics 4, once our Foundation-owned analytics property is live, and only for visitors who accept non-essential cookies.

We never knowingly collect personal data about children. Our forms only capture information about the adults nominating or contacting us — school administrators, teachers, partners, and volunteers — never students.

Why we collect it

We use the information you provide to respond to your enquiry, process a school nomination, evaluate a partnership or volunteering request, and keep an internal record of that communication. We do not use it for any purpose beyond what you contacted us about, and we do not sell or rent personal data to anyone.

Legal basis and consent

Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act), we rely on your explicit consent as the legal basis for processing the information you submit. Every form on this site has a consent checkbox that is unticked by default; submitting the form is not possible without actively ticking it.

How long we keep it

We retain form submissions for as long as necessary to respond to your enquiry, and in any case for no longer than 3 years from the date of submission, after which the data is deleted unless we're required by law to keep it longer (for example, financial or statutory records once we are registered).

Who we share it with

We do not share your personal data with WiseClub Ventures Private Limited or WiseTribes, or with any other third party, without your separate specific consent — being a licensee of their curriculum and technology does not give them access to our contact or form data. We use third-party service providers only where necessary to operate this website and its forms (for example, form-submission and hosting infrastructure), and we choose India-hosted infrastructure where the provider offers that choice.

Cookies

This site uses only essential cookies by default. Non-essential cookies (such as analytics) load only after you actively opt in through our cookie banner. We do not use advertising or remarketing cookies, and we do not use Meta Pixel or similar tracking technology.

Your rights

You can ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal data we hold about you at any time by emailing our Grievance Officer (details below). We will respond within a reasonable time and in line with the DPDP Act.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our data practices evolve — for example, once our GA4 property, cookie banner, and donation module go live. We'll update the "last updated" date above whenever we do.
